Starting August 1, HDFC Bank is introducing new fees and revised charges for its credit card users, impacting various transaction categories including rental payments, fuel, utilities, and education. Key changes include:
- Rental Payments: A 1% fee, capped at ₹3,000, will apply for transactions via third-party apps.
- Fuel Transactions: A 1% fee, capped at ₹3,000, will be charged for transactions over ₹15,000.
- Utility Payments: Transactions above ₹50,000 will incur a 1% fee, capped at ₹3,000.
- Educational Payments: Fees will apply for payments via third-party apps, but transactions directly through educational institutions remain fee-free.
- International Transactions: A 3.5% markup fee will be added for cross-currency transactions.
Additional changes include updated late payment charges, a ₹50 redemption fee for rewards, a 3.75% monthly finance charge on revolving credit, and a new ₹299 Easy-EMI processing fee. Tata Neu credit cardholders will also see changes in cashback structures for UPI transactions.
